1. What we collect

We currently collect personal data only in limited cases:

• Corrections email: if you email corrections@travelvisarules.com, we receive whatever information you include in the message, such as your email address, name, and the correction itself.
• Basic site operations: our hosting provider (Vercel) may process standard server data such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp for security, uptime, and abuse prevention.
• Google Analytics (GA4): we use Google Analytics to understand aggregate page traffic and usage patterns. GA4 collects anonymised data including pages visited, approximate location (country/region level), device type, and session duration. This data is processed by Google under their own privacy policy. GA4 does not allow us to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

2. What we do not currently do

• We do not provide accounts or user profiles.
• We do not ask for passport numbers, payment details, or visa application data.
• We do not sell visas, immigration services, or personal data.
• We do not run on-site marketing popups or email-alert signup forms.

3. Why we use the data

• to review and reply to correction reports
• to keep the site secure, available, and abuse-resistant
• to understand and fix operational problems when they occur

4. External links

Many pages link to official government immigration, MFA, or e-Visa portals. When you follow those links, you leave TravelVisaRules and the destination site's own privacy and cookie practices apply.

5. Retention

Corrections emails may be retained as part of the editorial audit trail for as long as they remain useful for verifying, fixing, or explaining a published rule. Operational hosting logs are controlled by the hosting provider's normal retention policies.
