Why this verdict
Ukrainian ordinary-passport holders are not eligible for visa-free entry to Australia. For ordinary tourism or family visits, the usual route is a Visitor visa (subclass 600) Tourist stream applied for online before travel. Australia's Ukraine support page separately notes that Ukrainian nationals with relatives in Australia can apply under the Tourist stream and provide details of the Australian relative, rather than using the Sponsored Family stream. A granted visa may allow a stay up to 12 months, but the exact period and entries are set in the visa grant letter.
