Brazil visa for Ukrainian citizens

Cost note

Visa-free entry is free under the Ukraine-Brazil bilateral visa-abolition agreement (in force since 14 January 2020). No reciprocity fee applies (Brazil abolished reciprocity fees for all nationalities in 2016–2018).

What you need

• Ukrainian passport valid for the duration of stay (Brazil requires only passport validity for the stay; 6 months is recommended)
• Return or onward ticket
• Proof of sufficient funds may be requested
• Proof of accommodation or address in Brazil may be requested
• Yellow fever vaccination certificate if arriving from an endemic area

Why this verdict

Ukrainian citizens may enter Brazil visa-free for tourism or business for up to 90 days within any 180-day period, under the bilateral visa-abolition agreement in force since 14 January 2020 (extendable once for a further 90 days via the Federal Police, up to a maximum of 180 days per year). Note: Brazil reinstated the e-Visa requirement on 10 April 2025, but ONLY for nationals of Australia, Canada and the United States — Ukrainian citizens are NOT affected and remain visa-free. The stay is counted per calendar year (max 180 days/year). Visa-free travel does NOT permit employment or paid activity. Brazil also maintains a humanitarian visa pathway for Ukrainians affected by the conflict. Confirm current rules with the official source (Itamaraty / gov.br/mre) before travel.
